Our original line dates all the way back to 1986, when Jim began, like many enthusiasts, to experiment out of his garage. His background in electronic engineering, as well as training during his time as an electronics specialist in the US Army, fueled his interest to improve high-end audio. At this time, he founded Purist Audio Design.

Revision A saw several improvements over the original cables in terms of metallurgy, Fluid, Build, and cosmetics. It also saw the birth of several new lines!.

Others merged into new lines, moves driven by research and a quest for hearing the music as the artist intended. Revision C also introduced to new shielding technologies Ferox and Contego!
